GLO BAR, CARDIFF

Glo bar opened in 2006 as a fresh addition to the Cardiff night-time scene. I originally produced designs for two large interior murals, an exterior mural and a glass etching design. I produced designs which combined a traditional Welsh folk tale about a song thrush with an oriental influence. The result is harmonious and subtle as silhouetted trees wrap around the bar's walls and ceilings.I excecuted the job primarily in spraypaint, allowing me to create sumptuous colour blends in the main colours of coal and orange.

My work with Glo continued throughout the following years, as I was commissioned to design and paint murals in the upstairs, downstairs and adjoining delicatessan.

My most recent work was a mural in the newly added VIP room which I completed in early 2009.

LEE JEANS, PARIS Leading retail branders Dalziel & Pow commissioned me to paint an interior mural at the Lee Jeans flagship store in Paris. The brief was to create an atmosphere of contemporary elegance in the ladies denim section as part of a wider store rejuvenation. The result is a monochrome floral piece which spirals up a central column, flowing across the ceiling and onto a white leather display wall. About HANNNAH Hannnah Truran is a Wales based designer. Originally an Illustration graduate, she has since worked on tile design, wallpaper, interiors and promotional material.
