Hannahtruran

GLO BAR, CARDIFF

Glo bar opened in 2006 as a fresh addition to the Cardiff night-time scene. I originally produced designs for two large interior murals, an exterior mural and a glass etching design. I produced designs which combined a traditional Welsh folk tale about a song thrush with an oriental influence. The result is harmonious and subtle as silhouetted trees wrap around the bar's walls and ceilings.I excecuted the job primarily in spraypaint, allowing me to create sumptuous colour blends in the main colours of coal and orange.

My work with Glo continued throughout the following years, as I was commissioned to design and paint murals in the upstairs, downstairs and adjoining delicatessan.

My most recent work was a mural in the newly added VIP room which I completed in early 2009.

Modern Graphic Design - CCRZ

CCRZ works on a spectrum of projects wrapped around design. Their work is very inspirational. Some of their clients have beautiful furniture lines as well. More after the jump.

CCRZ The study deals with visual communication, design and architecture, with specific expertise in different disciplines: graphics, photography, illustration, composition. I really like the work coming from Melbourne based firm, round. Both their graphic design and their interiors are bold simple and modern. Makes me want to put a really big number somewhere in my house. More after the jump.

During the course of the project we spend time meticulously crafting the detail while keeping an eye on the bigger picture. Our approach is to combine the expression of original ideas that innovate, challenge and inform. Our response is always appropriate to the brief.

Sometimes, hotels can provide excellent inspiration for home. If you remember, we had previously featured an interesting hotel having some bizarre themes. Here is something more for you. These shots are from Fox Hotel, Copenhagen. 21 international artists from the fields of graphic design, urban art and illustration turned Hotel Fox to a piece of art with unique individual themes for its 61 rooms.
